For families

Private Addiction & Recovery Support for Families

You do not need to have every answer before you call. Reach us with your questions and concerns for your loved one, and we will help you understand the immediate situation, organize the next steps, and coordinate appropriate support.

Warm morning light in a calm home, ready for a reassuring conversation

A steady partner

Support for the moments between crisis and what comes next.

When something has to change, families are often the ones holding everything together — while also being the most exhausted and least sure of what to do. The Way Out exists to be the capable person beside you who can help organize the next move and carry it through.

Our role is intentionally non-clinical and practical: to bring clarity, communication, and dependable follow-through to the spaces between crisis, treatment, transition, and recovery.

How we help families

Calm, private, and dependable.

You call with questions, not answers

You do not need to have every detail figured out before you reach us. Call with your questions and concerns for your loved one, and we will suggest what type of help may be needed.

We bring calm to the crisis

Families are often asked to make significant decisions with incomplete information and under real pressure. Our role is to slow the moment down and bring clarity to it.

Practical, non-clinical support

We are not a treatment provider. We handle the planning, logistics, transportation, and follow-through that surround care so your family can focus on your loved one.

One point of contact

Instead of coordinating separately with programs, providers, and travel, you have a single dependable partner who keeps the pieces moving and communicates clearly.

Questions families ask

Frequently asked questions

What can The Way Out do for my family?

We help families understand the immediate situation, prepare for and coordinate interventions, navigate treatment options, arrange private transportation to care, and provide sober and recovery companion support after discharge — all on a non-clinical, practical basis.

What if my loved one refuses treatment?

This is one of the most common reasons families call. We help you prepare for and coordinate a structured intervention with authorized professionals, and plan for the range of outcomes — including a path forward if the answer is not yes right away.

Can you help us choose a treatment program?

We provide non-clinical treatment navigation: we help you organize and compare information about programs, levels of care, admission requirements, and logistics so you can make an informed decision with licensed providers.

Can you transport my loved one to treatment?

Yes. Private, accompanied behavioral health transportation by air or ground is one of our core services, ending with a direct, documented handoff at the receiving program.

What happens after my loved one is discharged?

The period after discharge can be the most vulnerable. Sober and recovery companion services and transitional support help carry the treatment plan into everyday life with structure, accountability, and continuity.

Do we have to know what service we need before calling?

No. You do not need to have every answer before you call. Share what is happening and we will help determine what type of support may be appropriate.

There is a way out.

If you are unsure whether we are the right fit, call anyway. We will talk with you so we can suggest what type of help may be needed and, when appropriate, point you toward it.
